Old single-glazed aluminium windows with no thermal break are the main escape route for heat and noise in a property. In summer they let the heat in and in winter the cold, forcing your air conditioning and heating to work harder. Replacing all the windows in the property at once is the upgrade you notice most, both in comfort and on the bill.
We work with two high-performance materials. PVC offers the best thermal and acoustic insulation and needs no maintenance; thermal-break aluminium gives slimmer, very strong profiles and finishes suited to large glazed openings and sliding doors. In both cases we fit double glazing (climalit) with an air cavity and, if you wish, security or solar-control glass.
Beyond the frames we renew the hardware, seals and shutters, which we can motorise for control by remote or phone. We measure every opening, manufacture to size and carry out the removal of the old windows, the installation and the sealing, leaving a clean finish ready to decorate. For overseas owners we coordinate measuring and fitting remotely with photo reports.

Every job we take on within this service, with the detail of how we carry it out. The price is always fixed after the survey.
Frames and window types
Made-to-measure PVC windows
- What we do
- Multi-chamber PVC frames manufactured for each opening.
- How we do it
- We build in steel reinforcement inside the larger sashes, which is what stops the profile distorting in the heat of a south-facing facade. Without it the sash starts binding after a few summers.
Thermal-break aluminium
- What we do
- Thermal-break aluminium profiles for large glazed openings.
- How we do it
- We only fit aluminium with a thermal break: without one it condenses on the inside in winter and conducts heat in summer, however good the glass in it may be.
Tilt-and-turn windows
- What we do
- A sash that opens fully or tilts to ventilate without opening right up.
- How we do it
- We adjust the hardware on all three axes at installation and leave the trickle-vent position working — useful for ventilating a ground floor securely.
Sliding and lift-and-slide
- What we do
- Large openings onto terraces and outdoor spaces.
- How we do it
- On very wide openings we propose lift-and-slide with a perimeter seal: a conventional slider never closes airtight, because it needs clearance in the track in order to slide at all.
Bathroom and kitchen windows
- What we do
- Small openings with ventilation and privacy requirements.
- How we do it
- We combine obscured glass with a casement or tilt-and-turn sash and respect the ventilation the room requires, avoiding the classic sealed-up opening that ends up causing condensation.
Glazing
Double glazing (climalit)
- What we do
- Double glazing with an air cavity replacing single glass.
- How we do it
- We choose the cavity to suit orientation and noise. Simply widening the cavity does not always help: past a point you gain more from changing the thickness of the panes than from separating them further.
Solar-control glass
- What we do
- Glass that cuts the heat coming in through direct sun.
- How we do it
- We recommend it on south and west elevations, where the afternoon sun is what drives the air-conditioning bill. It filters the heat while keeping the light, without resorting to films that peel over the years.
Acoustic glass
- What we do
- Glazing upgraded against street and nightlife noise.
- How we do it
- We fit laminated glass with an acoustic interlayer and asymmetric pane thicknesses: two identical panes resonate at the same frequency and let through exactly the noise you were trying to stop.
Laminated security glass
- What we do
- Anti-intrusion glass and protection against breakage.
- How we do it
- We install laminated glass on ground floors and terrace access, which takes the blow without falling out. We pair it with hardware with anti-lever locking points.
Reglazing the existing frame
- What we do
- Replacing the glazing while keeping the frames.
- How we do it
- This works when the frame is sound and takes the new thickness. We are honest about it: if the profile is aluminium with no thermal break, changing only the glass leaves the cold bridge exactly as it was and the result disappoints.
Shutters and solar shading
Shutter replacement
- What we do
- Replacing worn slats, tape, barrel and box.
- How we do it
- We replace the box too when it is one of the old uninsulated ones: it is an open hole in the wall and usually loses more heat than the window itself.
Motorised shutters
- What we do
- A motor to work the shutter by remote or phone.
- How we do it
- We fit motors with a manual emergency override, so a power cut or a failed receiver cannot leave the shutter down and the property in the dark.
Insulating the shutter box
- What we do
- Treating the box as the thermal and acoustic weak point it is.
- How we do it
- We line the inside with insulation and seal where the tape passes through. It is a small job that makes a large difference in bedrooms facing a noisy street.
Insect screens
- What we do
- Roller, fixed or sliding screens built into the opening.
- How we do it
- We match the screen to the opening type and use salt-resistant mesh on the front line, where standard mesh degrades within a couple of seasons.
Shutters and adjustable louvres
- What we do
- External solar shading for houses and villas.
- How we do it
- Stopping the sun outside the glass beats any internal blind, because the heat never gets into the property in the first place.
Fitting and finishing
Measuring and manufacture
- What we do
- Measuring every opening and manufacturing to suit.
- How we do it
- We measure opening by opening rather than working to one typical size: in older buildings there are rarely two identical windows, however alike they look.
Fitting without building work
- What we do
- Window replacement using the existing frame.
- How we do it
- We fit over the old subframe where it is sound and square, which avoids chasing and redecorating. You lose a little glass area, and we tell you that before you decide.
Removal of the old frames
- What we do
- Complete removal of the old windows.
- How we do it
- We take out the subframe as well where it has corroded and dispose of the waste at a licensed facility, leaving the opening clean and square for the new unit.
Sealing and making good
- What we do
- Closing the perimeter of the window against water and air.
- How we do it
- We seal with low-expansion foam and an external mastic compatible with the facade, and make good the reveal ready to paint. Poor sealing cancels out the insulation of an expensive window.
Windows in a community building
- What we do
- Replacements subject to the community’s facade rules.
- How we do it
- We check what colour and configuration the community requires beforehand, because the facade is common property and an unauthorised change can end in an order to remove it.
Water run-off and drip edge
- What we do
- Getting rainwater off the sill correctly.
- How we do it
- We give the sill a fall and fit a drip edge so water falls clear of the wall. Without one you get the familiar dirt-and-damp streak below the window.

PVC & Aluminium Windows: frequently asked questions in Alicante
How much does it cost to replace the windows in a home?
It depends on the number of openings and their size, the material chosen (PVC or aluminium), the type of glass and whether the shutters are renewed too. Every home is different, so we fix the price after measuring. Request a free, no-obligation personalised quote for all the windows.
Which is better, PVC or aluminium?
PVC gives the best thermal and acoustic insulation and needs no maintenance, ideal for bedrooms and noisy facades. Thermal-break aluminium is very strong and allows slim profiles and large sliding doors. At the visit we recommend whichever material suits your property and its aspect best.
Will I really notice the difference in insulation and noise?
Yes, clearly. Double glazing (climalit) and a thermal break greatly reduce heat and cold loss and soften street noise. The home holds its temperature better, your air conditioning and heating work less, and the energy bill comes down — a real benefit in the Costa Blanca climate.
Can you motorise the shutters?
Yes. While the windows are being changed we replace and motorise the shutters so you can operate them by remote or phone, with optional timer settings. It is the ideal moment to do it, since the opening is fully accessible during the fitting work.
How is the opening left after fitting?
We remove the old windows, set the new ones true, seal them for full weather-tightness and leave a clean finish ready to paint or trim. We work opening by opening so the property is always closed up and secure by the end of each day.
