- How we do it
- It is the usual step up from the original door of an older flat: better resistance and it cuts the noise from the landing. It goes onto the existing frame where that is sound, which keeps the mess right down.
Armoured (acorazada) door
- What we do
- A full steel frame, with leaf and frame forming a single assembly.
- How we do it
- It replaces both frame and leaf, so the old frame comes out and the new one is built into the opening. Another level of security and insulation, but you have to allow for making the opening good.
Lock, cylinder and anchor points
- What we do
- Multipoint locking, anti-bump cylinder and a protective escutcheon.
- How we do it
- The cylinder is the weak link on almost any door: it can be upgraded to anti-bump and anti-pick without replacing the door at all. We hand over the keys with their ownership card.
Draught seals on the entrance

- Draughts, landing noise and cooking smells coming in around the front door.
- How we do it
- We fit perimeter seals and an automatic drop-down threshold seal. In blocks with holiday lets it is the single most noticeable improvement, and far better value than a new door.
